Please join us in celebrating and archiving the amazing life of Lenny “Batman” Robinson. All those who knew him were touched by his endless generosity displayed through both his time and talents. His visits with the children in the hospital and his dedication to ensuring that their days were brightened and for that moment their illness was forgotten, affected both the kids and their families.

His generosity extended beyond the kids and throughout the community through countless random acts of kindness for which he wanted no recognition or payback. Our community has lost an amazing person and it is our hope that we can capture those stories and memories here on his Stories Between page so that everyone can celebrate Lenny’s life and legacy.

Please share your stories, photos and memories for his family, his future generations, and also as a place for all of us to celebrate and remember this truly remarkable man.

Lenny Robinson had the ability to put smiles on everyone's faces. Our daughter, Juliana, now struggling with cancer for the fifth time was able to meet Lenny "Batman" Robinson two times. His energy, compassion, love and such tenderness was incredible.

I don't think there is anyone in our area could even come close to his dedication, drive and love for sick kids.

Thank you Batman for making a difference in my daughter's life.

Lenny B. Robinson what an impression you made on our son, Reilly. Thank you for being someone he could look up to! A true super hero. Every time he saw you it made his day and then some! You were always so great to him and made him feel so special. Knowing that you were always there for him helped him get through the pain of his surgeries and recoveries. We always told him he was our super hero like Batman. He will forever love his super hero...you! We will never forget you! To the family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Sept 2013 - After stomach surgery to remove a cyst, our 5 year old son , Jacob, was in the hospital for a week. He was confined to his bed for about a week. The first day Jacob was able to walk and be disconnected from IV lines, we walk outside and then Jacob met Batman in person and sees the Bat mobile.

Jacob was thrilled, and could not wait to tell everyone how he met Batman and saw the bat mobile.

Jacob received a wrist band with "BATMAN" on it. He still has the wrist band and the picture of Batman on the wall in his room.

Lenny "Batman" Robinson made my young son's hospital stay so much easier during this difficult time. Lenny will be always remembered by Jacob and our family for his kindness.

Lenny Robinson was truly God's gift to sick children. The moment you met him, you knew he was one in a million. He gave himself selflessly to the children who needed it most. We are heartbroken.

We met Lenny in the Summer of 2014, a few months after our then 5 year old son Jackson was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Jack is a HUGE Batman fan, so his hospital room was always decked out in Batman gear. Jack's friends, family, and supporters are known as "Team Batman Jack." The staff at Sinai knew how much Jack would love meeting "The Real Batman," as Jack came to call him. They arranged a meeting with Lenny, and Jack and Batman became instant friends. About a month later, on the day of Sinai's Race For Our Kids, Jack had the honor of riding to the race area in the Batmobile with Batman. Our family also got to spend some one on one time with Batman before the race, checking out the Batmobile and getting to know Batman. It was truly one of the most exciting days of Jack's life. As a mom, I'll never forget the way Lenny reassured me that Jack would be ok riding in a convertible (without a carseat!). He made sure I was comfortable and was just so kind. He gave Jack and his sisters Batman gear that they all still wear and play with today.

Lenny made a huge and lasting impact on Jack. When they met, Jack was in the most difficult part of treatment. Life was hard for him. But Batman told Jack to fight, so that's what Jack did.

We love you, Batman. Thank you for being you. Heaven surely gained a true superhero.

Love Always,
Mary, Jamie, Jackson, Madeleine, and Finley Buck

I work at a craft store and a few years ago Lenny came in and bought every last piece of superhero merchandise we had. $1 and $2 items that added up to several hundreds. This was after his viral run in with police video so a coworker and myself knew who he was and we're just in awe of his generosity and his amazing heart. We saw him a few times after that and everytime it was such an honor to speak with him. A down to earth guy that has gone too soon.

We had the honor of meeting Lenny "Batman" at the Candlelighter's tree lighting in DC! He was their big surprise for the kids (they claimed it was bigger than Santa and they were right for my boys!). Aaron and Carson loved seeing kids at these events where we got to honor our daughter Kayla, who lost her battle with Neuroblastoma when she was 15 months old. Lenny came out on stage and their jaws dropped! He made his rounds around the room and personally stooped down to shake Aaron's hand. Aaron was wearing his Batman Converse and Lenny asked him to take them off. He whipped out his marker and signed one of them. Aaron was so excited and that smile lasted for days! He still has the shoes today. On the way out, we got to take a peek into his Batmobile and that was awesome. Us adults knew all the money and effort that must have gone into creating the Batman persona, but to the kids he was simply smiles and magic!! Just what the doctor ordered! :-) Thank you Lenny! Always in our hearts!
