Karen celebrated everything and in her own way she was even able to celebrate cancer. The fact that her passing comes as such a shock is a testament to her overwhelming positive attitude and always present public smile. She never gave into what was really happening inside and refused to let cancer define her or bring her down. Her own blog, The Worst Best Thing, is how she described cancer and how she lived her life. Cancer is the worst thing, but there can be great things hidden inside the journey. And Karen was our great thing and an incredible blessing to all of us. And to continue in Karen's spirit this page has been created so that everyone can celebrate her life together and share their stories and memories. Karen touched so many people in so many different ways. This is a chance for us to get to know her even better. Every story and memory is important to her family, everything they read here will be new to them or a wonderful reminder of a memory they already have.

One day, Karen and I were sitting in science class (I have no idea how I was smart enough to have science with her), when suddenly she turned to me and asked me if I wanted to go to a Brad Paisley concert with her that night. "Yes!" It was so much fun and such a last minute concert. We also went to Miranda Lambert and multiple Sunday In The County concerts together too.
