I am so honored to call Judy my friend. It seems like yesterday when we worked on our first ad campaign together, but it was about 20 years ago. Since then we have come in and out of our lives at some very significant times. When we first met, I was in awe of Judy's enthusiasm, beauty, creativity, and loyalty! Then a few years later we got to work side by side at The Sun. Once during a heavy snow storm I was nervous about driving home so Judy and Drew followed me home. I eventually ditched my car at a park and ride and Drew drove me the rest of the way. It was such a sweet gesture and showed how caring and kind they both are. I remember visiting Judy and Drew in the hospital after Reese was born. They have always been such a beautiful family. I remember when Judy called me after she was diagnosed the first time. The strength she showed in the face of adversity was amazing and the love and devotion Drew showed was beautiful. A few years went by before our paths crossed again and this time it was our daughters who brought us together. We shared some fun times at Padonia, Rebounders, birthday parties, play dates, attempted sleepovers, and a couple of concerts (Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez)! A few more years past by and we celebrated turning 40! Then I got the text about the second diagnosis. That was 4 years and 2 weeks ago. It stopped me in my tracks. But not Judy. She was driven to make a difference and she has in so many ways. Every time I see Judy and I am struck by her energy and her smile. There have been long gaps when we haven't seen each other, but once we connect, time melts away. I see Judy as a visionary and a pioneer, never allowing obstacles prevent her from accomplishing her goals. CaringOn is just one example. She is also a wonderful mother, I have seen it first hand, and everyone can see it through her children. Judy has a beautiful soul and I feel blessed that we have shared a part of our journey together. I am praying that you feel peace now.
