I first met Brian in 1995. His unique sense of humor was the first thing that bonded us. He had a way of telling a story that just drawed people to him. Our first command together in the Navy was in Rota Spain. He was on the "sea side" of the command, and I was in Operations. Brian would stop by the watchfloor where I worked and we'd commence to telling stories that would have the people around us howling with laughter. He was an entertainer and could spin a story that would leave you in tears! Above that though, Brian was just a great guy; easy going and down to earth. I've not met too many like him. I only had the opportunity to see him in person once several years after he transferred from Spain. We picked up just like we'd never parted. We stayed in contact through Facebook. I'm really going to miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with Robin and his friends. Brian was a good man and a great friend. Rest in peace, brother. We'll meet again one day.
